An inductive loop system allows people who are hearing impaired to enjoy CLEAR
sound free from background noise. A microphone picks up sound within close
proximity to it and passes the sound to the loop amplifier (background sounds
are amplified to a lower degree). Amplified signals from the loop amplifier
are passed through a loop cable installed around the building, creating a
magnetic field within the encompassed area. People who are hard of hearing can
enjoy CLEAR sound free from background noise when they switch their hearing
aid to the T or MT position within the loop area.
West Comms stock various types of loop amplifiers for use in any environment.
They range from small to large power for areas from 120m2 to 559m2 coverage
with specialist units for Churches, Waiting Rooms, Health & Fitness Clubs &
Lecture Rooms. All loop systems supplied through West Comms have been designed
to give a constant sound output to the loop. This means whatever the power of
a persons voice and regardless of the level of sound to the microphone; the
hearing aid user will receive a constant level of clear sound with no
background noise.
