IPTV

IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) is the distribution of TV over a local IP network using CAT5/6 or fibre-optic cable. There are many advantages to using IPTV against a standard coaxial based system, the first and most important is the difference in picture quality. Since 2007 West Comms has supplied and installed IPTV which can enable the distribution of Freeview and Satellite TV as well as the facility for other video sources, such as IP cameras, CCTV and promotional Videos, all at exceptional picture quality.

With IPTV there is no loss in picture quality no matter how far you need to distribute your TV, unlike a coaxial system. The power of IPTV also gives you complete control on how you communicate with your customers, no longer are you just restricted to providing TV. Our solution can also provide an enhanced customer experience through the use of customised portals, site information, and advertising.

IPTV for Hotels presents your guests with a unique previewing facility for TV programmes, clear concise information screens and can be customised to perfectly fit your hotel's corporate image. The choice of channels offered can be chosen by you, and, if required, video can also be added. To really take advantage of the system, our Digital Signage module enables key information to be disseminated throughout the hotel at a touch of a button.
