Cat6
ANSI / EIA 568B Category 6 cable, commonly referred to as Cat 6, is a cable standard for structured cabling for computer networks and is also used to carry many other signals such as telephony and video.
Cat 6 is also backward compatible with Cat5/5e. Compared with Cat 5 and Cat 5e, Cat 6 features more stringent specifications for crosstalk and system noise. The cable standard provides performance of up to 250 MHz and is suitable for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX (Fast Ethernet), 1000BASE-T/1000BASE-TX (Gigabit Ethernet) and 10GBASE-T (10-Gigabit Ethernet).

All West Comms installations are fully tested in accordance BS EN 50346 using high performance Lantek 7 or Wavetech test meters with printable reports from single line through to fully detailed. All Testers conform to the requirements of BS EN 61935-1:2009.
